How It Works

Character development, mentoring, and real-world pathways — built for every community.

What We Do

Ignite Academy Brings It All Together

We partner with communities to deliver proven programming that helps young people discover their purpose and build a path forward.

Character Development

Every student goes through our proven curriculum — the Mission Portrait™ and 7 Igniters™ — building identity, purpose, and a vision for their future.

Mentoring

Group mentoring during the semester and one-on-one life mentorship beyond it — giving students the consistency and connection they need.

Workforce Development

Hands-on skilled trades training — automotive, construction, welding — partnered with local community colleges so students earn high school credits while they train.

Probation Program

A restorative pathway for justice-involved youth — using the same curriculum foundation to rebuild identity, develop life skills, and launch into a purpose-driven future.

After-School Programs

Character development and purpose discovery programming delivered in schools, community centers, and partner organizations — meeting students where they are.

Community Expansion

Our model is designed to be replicated. We train local Program Directors, establish partnerships, and bring the full Ignite Academy experience to new cities.

The Foundation

Where Our Curriculum Comes From

At the heart of every Ignite Academy program is a proven curriculum developed by Wildfire Leadership — a consulting organization that creates and certifies character development programming for schools and communities.

The curriculum is built on two frameworks: the Mission Portrait™, which helps students articulate who they are and what they're called to do, and the 7 Igniters™, a personal roadmap for building the character, mindset, and habits needed to succeed. Together, they form the foundation that every Ignite Academy program builds upon.

Wildfire Leadership develops the content, certifies the facilitators, and provides ongoing coaching. Ignite Academy delivers the programming in communities — through workforce development, mentoring, after-school programs, and more.

In Practice

What This Looks Like in a Community

Here's how Ignite Academy partners with a community to bring programming to students.

1

A community identifies a need

Students need direction. Employers can't find workers. Schools want to offer more than traditional academics. A community leader, school administrator, or partner reaches out to Ignite Academy.

2

We assess the fit together

We listen to the community's needs and determine the right mix of programming — character development, workforce training, mentoring, probation support, or a combination. Partnerships are structured through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that defines scope, expectations, and outcomes for both sides.

3

We train a local team and launch

A local Program Director is trained, facilitators get certified in the curriculum, and partnerships with schools, employers, and community colleges are established. Students begin the 8-10 week program.

4

Students discover purpose and build a path forward

Through the Mission Portrait™ and 7 Igniters™, group mentoring, and real-world pathways, students gain clarity, confidence, and direction — whether that leads to a career, further education, or simply a stronger sense of who they are.

Who We Serve

This Is for Every Student Who Needs Direction

Ignite Academy isn't limited to one type of student. Barriers look different in every community: some students aren't planning on a four-year college, some are navigating generational poverty, some are on probation, and some simply lack purpose and direction. Our programs meet students wherever they are and help them build a path forward.

Students lacking direction

Not sure what's next after high school — need help finding their purpose and a plan.

Non-college-bound students

Looking for meaningful career pathways beyond a four-year degree.

Students in generational poverty

Breaking cycles through character, skills, mentorship, and opportunity.

Justice-involved youth

Finding a restorative path through identity, purpose, and community support.

Students in alternative schools

Programming that meets them where they are and shows them what's possible.

Any student seeking purpose

The Mission Portrait™ and 7 Igniters™ work for anyone ready to discover who they are and where they're going.
